The Executive Committee have been advised that we had 2 positive COVID-19 cases attend our Friday Twilight Competition on the 10/12/2021.
We are currently notifying the relevant organisations and are awaiting advice and guidance.
At this stage, with an abundance of caution we have decided to cancel training for tonight. Our Centre and our equipment will undergo cleaning tonight. Please do not turn up for training – there will be no access to the track and the turnstile gate will be locked until cleaning is complete.

On Saturday the 18th of December from 8am to 1pm The Basin Backyard are holding a farmers market at their shop location at 1/31 Rushdale Street Knoxfield (2 minute walk from little Aths track).
There will be some great stall holders which include, French bread and deserts, dog treats, Japanese sauces, veggies, garlic plus others and of course the honey shop will be open as well.

The Basin Backyard is a local business located at 31 Rushdale Court (directly across from the track) that provides beekeeping supplies and honey.
Honey Sales The Basin Backyard has over 250 bee hives in The Basin, the Dandenong ranges, Gippsland, St Arnaud/Bendigo region and Mornington Peninsula. All their honey is cold filtered which leaves in all the beneficial goodness and most of all FLAVOUR. – They also provide bee mentoring, beekeeping advice and all your bee keeping needs.
$1 from every jar sold will be returned to Knox LAC if you show your registration patch or handbook.

Tonight is our first Friday Twilight competition for the season and starts at 6pm sharp. If you are on duty please arrive by 5.30pm to assist in setup.
Update for U6 and U7 Athletes There will be no on track program tonight – U6 and U7 will do a 70m sprint instead.

Each athlete may progress ONE AGE GROUP IN ONE EVENT ONLY, if preferred event is not offered in correct age group, only if event is a standard event for their Age Group. Under 15/16s will compete as one age group Knox LAC reserves the right to cancel or postpone the entire event due to extreme weather conditions. Individual events may be cancelled due to insufficient entries.
Duty is compulsory for Parents of competing Knox LAC athletes.
Heats/Finals: Athletes will be placed in straight finals for track events up to the maximum entries as per the table below. Where there are more entries received a series of Timed Finals will be used to determine the overall placing of athletes. i.e., Heats and Finals will not be conducted. Athletes will be randomly placed in finals in those events conducted as Timed Finals. The allocation of lanes for Timed Finals will also be random. Marshalling: All athletes MUST report directly to the event area 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the event.
