A reminder to all families – LAVic have set the following requirements within the protocols:
People must: – Stay away from Little Athletics activities if they are feeling unwell; – Get tested and remain at home until their symptoms resolve; – Seek medical assistance as required. – CSOs will advise those attending sanctioned competition & training activities to go home and get tested that if they have cold or flu symptoms – Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children at sanctioned training activities. The presence of supervising parents/guardians are required for the safe conduct of sanctioned Little Athletics activities. Please do not drop off your child off and leave. A parent/guardian must be in attendance at all little athletic activities.
It is a requirement of LAVic that all athletes competing must wear the correct uniform. This includes our club uniforms at our centre competition each week. Unless an athlete is trying out, or has registered but does not yet have their club top, they must be in uniform.
This means all registered athletes should be wearing black shorts with their club (not centre) top at our weekly competition. Please ensure your child is in their correct club uniform. This means athletes cannot wear jumpers / hoodies or other tops over the club top and competition name patch while competing in an event.
Please do not wear the Knox Centre uniform top for weekly competition. This is reserved for our athletes that compete at events such as regional carnivals and State Championships events.
Competition Name Patches Athletes must also be wearing their competition name patch. This is the only way we can identify them to allow their results to be placed into the computer system and uploaded to results HQ.
Athletes not wearing name patches will not be permitted to compete.
If you have forgotten your patch or lost it, new patches can be bought for a gold coin donation from our registrar in the computer room in the grandstand. If you need a subsequent patch it will cost $5 per patch. Money collected for new patches is donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal at the end of the season.
Coles Badges All athletes tops must have Coles Badge sewn (not pinned) to the top right hand corner of the top. If you child’s top does not have Coles badge on it please see your club to get one.
