As the temperature this afternoon is quite high, if you are attending training session tonight please remember to bring water and a hat and wear sunscreen.
If you are not participating in an activity please ensure you are in the shade and staying out of the sun.
Coaches will modify their training sessions to suit.
If you are competing at the State Combined Event this weekend the High Jump Mat will be available again tonight (Monday 24th) from 5pm to 6pm for practice.
Brad Krawzcyk will be available to help with any fine tuning of run ups and techniques.
Please note this is not a general high jump training session for other athletes and is only available for those U14 – U16 athletes competing at State Combined Events.
Knox LAC would like to thank everyone that attended our Knox Open Day on 22nd January. It was one of our most successful open days with over 400 athletes competing during the day.
To our Chiefs and our Parents on duty thank you for your efforts in what was hot and trying conditions during the day. And a special thank you to parents from other centres that helped out when extra help was needed.
And lastly we would like to thank those Knox parents that stayed around at the end and helped pack up. With a few extra hands it made the job of packing up and cleaning up much easier.
We hope that everyone had a great day and we look forward to seeing you at our next open day.
For all the Knox LAC families attending open day, the parent duty roster has been released, and can now be downloaded below. Please note your duty and time. As the duty roster is set, there will be little chance of changing it.
Please note: Parent duty at Open Day is compulsory. A reminder that all Knox parents agreed to the condition of undertaking duty when registering.
Note: Knox LAC does enforce the following policy:
If you do not turn up for the duty assigned to you, or you do not complete your duty as required, your child will be scratched from all their events and will take no further part.
If you cannot do the duty assigned to you, you are responsible for finding another person/family to do that assigned duty, and advise the Duty Manager at track without delay of the change.
If you scratch your child between now and Saturday you are still required to turn up for duty.
Welcome to Knox Open Twilight for 2022. Thank you to all those that registered for the event. We have more than 400 athletes from 36 centres attending. A huge thank you to all of the centres for supporting what is going to be a great afternoon and evening of athletics.
The program for this Saturdays Knox Open Twilight is now completed for all track & field events. You can download the timetable below.

Event Information
Venue Entry – Entry to the venue is via the gate at the southern end of the venue (Grandstand end).
Canteen – Canteen service will be available from 2pm. A BBQ will be running from 4.30pm until 7pm. Food from the BBQ can be purchased through the Canteen. Coffee Van will be onsite from 2pm.
Covid Safety
The event will be run in accordance with LAVic Covid Safety Protocols. It is a requirement that all attendees must sign in. QR Codes and Manual Sign In sheets will available at the entrance gate. Covid Safety Officers will be on duty.
Hand sanitiser will be available for athlete use at events.
