There will be no changes to the Program or Start Lists. If you havent registered for Championship Day you will not be allowed to compete, there are no walk ins on the day. If athletes no longer wish to compete and want to scratch, please email Janine registrar@klac23.org.au
Finals – Timed Finals Finals / Timed Finals – Athletes have been placed in straight finals for track events up to the maximum based on available lanes. Where possible we have combined age groups into events – Age groups in combined events will receive separate medals for placings in their own age group. Where there are more entries received a series of Timed Finals have been used to determine the overall placing of athletes. i.e., Heats and Finals will not be conducted. Athletes have been randomly placed in lanes. Athletes will not be able to choose lanes.
Marshalling All athletes MUST report directly to the event area 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the event. Track events take priority—if you have a clash between a track and a field event, report to the field event and advise the Chief.
Duty Roster Duty is compulsory for Parents of competing Knox LAC athletes. Parents must do duty for either the full morning or afternoon session. Failure to do so will result in athletes being removed from events. Please do not ask for an exemption as none will be granted. Famlies to arrange their own duty swap if required.
Conditions of Entry Club uniform must be worn with Registration Patch. No protests will be entered into. Spikes (maximum 7mm conical or xmas tree) are permitted for U11 to U17. Knox LAC reserves the right to cancel or postpone the entire event due to extreme weather conditions.
Engraver will be available on Saturday to engrave your medals after your presentation.
A reminder to all our families that the Knox little Athletics Championship Day is on Saturday 5th April, 2025. Entries for this event close Tuesday 25th March at 11.59pm.
The Knox LAC Committee has decided that due to the challenging year, as an act of goodwill to all on the return to the Knox Track this Seasons 2024-25 Championship Day will be free for all athletes who have qualified for the event.

The Knox Executive Committee are excited to announce that this Saturday March 1st, we welcome all of our Knox Little Athletes and Families back home to the Knox Athletics Track for our weekly competitions.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the local centres—Ringwood Little Athletics, Berwick Little Athletics, Nunawading Little Athletics, Waverley Little Athletics, Sherbrooke Little Athletics, Springvale Little Athletics, and Box Hill Little Athletics—for their support during the Knox track redevelopment in the 2024-2025 season.
A big thank you also goes out to our families and little athletes for their dedication and patience throughout this challenging season.
We can’t wait to return to our track and resume our weekly competitions. It’s the perfect way to wrap up Season 2024-2025!
I would also like to take this time to acknowledge David Kearsley for the countless hours that he has spent at the track preparing everything to ensure our systems are up and running and that we are in a position to resume weekly competitions at Knox.
If you are heading to the EMR Carnival this weekend there are some important information for you that you need to be aware of. Families entered will have received an email today regarding this weekend.

Parent Duty Roster (v2) We have received the duty allocation from EMR – while there have been some late changes to the allocations today, you can download the duty roster here.
Please note: Parent duty at EMR Track and Field Carnival is compulsory. A reminder that all parents agreed to the condition of undertaking duty when registering. We have significantly more duty than previous years and there is little chance of changing your duty now that has been allocated to you.
Note: Knox LAC does enforce the following policy: If you do not turn up for the duty assigned to you, or you do not complete your duty as required, your child will be scratched from all their events and will take no further part at any regional or state competition. If you cannot do the duty assigned to you, you are responsible for finding another person to do that assigned duty, and advise the Knox LAC Team Manager without delay of the change. Please remember, that when performing a duty, LAVic requires that you must wear enclosed shoes when officiating, (no thongs, sandals). Please see information on performing your duty in the Athlete Information booklet.
Call Rooms There will be marshalling points for Field Events and a Separate Call Room for Track Events. You must arrive at the Call Room no later than 20mins before the scheduled event time. Do not attempt to go to the Call Room after the Closing of the Call Room you will miss your event.

Supervision of Children All athletes attending the meet must be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times. There is to be no dropping off athletes.
Knox Uniform and Coles Badges
The uniform to be worn is the Knox LAC competition top and black shorts. The shorts must not to have any pockets and brand logos are to be smaller than 4cmx4cm. Spikes – must not be longer than 7mm. Spike information can be found in the athlete information booklet.
There should be no Knox LAC athletes without a Coles badge on their top. Please ensure that a Coles badge is sewn on the top right above the LAVic logo.
Do You Need Uniform?
If you need uniform for this weekend the very last chance to purchase uniform by emailing Michelle uniforms@klac23.org.au or looking at our ‘Buy Sell Swap Facebook Page’. There will be no chance to purchase uniform at the track on the weekend.
NAME PATCHES. Please do not forget your Name Patch. We will not have the ability to replace them on the day. If you require a new one, you must let me know by Thursday night. A new patch will cost $5.
KNOX ATHLETES WILL NEED TO CHECK IN AT THE TEAM MANAGERS TABLE FOR A UNIFORM CHECK WHEN THEY ARRIVE PRIOR TO GOING TO THEIR EVENT
Knox LAC Team Location The Knox LAC tents will be setup Friday and we will confirm location following. The team managers table will be set up and parents on duty will need to check in with the team manager 10mins before their scheduled duty time.
