With the Knox Cross Country season kicking off on 2nd May 2026, the State Cross-Country Relay Championships are fast approaching β€” and we’re looking for athletes keen to represent Knox in this exciting team event! πŸ’™πŸ’›

Teams of 3 athletes compete in a relay over a cross-country course, with shorter distances and transition zones β€” no baton, just teamwork and speed!

πŸ‘₯ Age Groups: U9 – U17

πŸ“ Distances
β€’ U9 & U10: 3 x 1km
β€’ U11 & U12: 3 x 1.5km
β€’ U13 – U17: 3 x 2km

β™Ώ Multi-Class Distances
β€’ U9–U10: 3 x 1km
β€’ U11–U12: 3 x 1.5km
β€’ U13–U17: 3 x 1.5km

πŸ‘₯ Team Composition
β€’ 3 athletes per team
β€’ Same gender teams (except Multi-Class, which can be mixed)
β€’ Athletes can only compete in one team and run one leg

Knox will prioritise forming Centre teams. If needed, Region teams may be created with athletes from other centres.

⬆️ Age Group Promotion
β€’ Athletes (U9+) may be promoted up to 2 age groups (conditions apply)
β€’ Multi-Class athletes have greater flexibility across age groups
