As everyone will be acutely aware the storms that come through on Tuesday 13th February has cause significant power outage across eastern suburbs. This included the athletics track at Knox.
While we were hopeful – the power to the track has not yet been restored.
We do not have specific update from Ausnet as to when power is likely to come back on.
As such if the power is not restored by Saturday morning we will be unable to run our timing and computer systems, canteen, PA systems and internal lighting to the buildings making it unsafe.
Therefore Little Athletics on Saturday morning will be cancelled if power has not be restored to the track.
We are keeping in mind that we could move to a Sunday afternoon program if power is restored by then – However we do recognise that many families will have other commitments organised and may not be able to attend.
