As posted last week, unfortunately we were not able to setout a suitable course around the Knox Park facilities with other sporting events on that weekend.
The proposed layout was not going provide a safe enough course for our athletes with the soccer games on and associated vehicle traffic. It was also going to significantly restrict spectating for families. the XC committee did have discussions with the soccer club and felt that in the best interest of both sports and safety of all athletes that cross country should be held at another location.
Therefore the first round of Cross Country has been moved to Tirhatuan Park, Dandenong.
The committee is still waiting for formal approval from Maroondah Council to use Eastfield Park on 11th May. We have mapped a course and will provide further details closer to the date.
