Sprints and throws pre-season coaching for 2017-18 season has commenced.

Winter is the perfect time to get some event skill coaching to fix problems, improve & advance technique, injury prevention & get an early start on conditioning prior to the season start.

Wednesdays
5:00-6:30pm Sprints & Junior Conditioning with Mike Donato (0414 888 563).
5:00-6:00pm Throws with Dave Kearsley (0412 669 099).

Sundays
8:30-10:00am Throws with Dave & Mike.
10:00-11:00am Sprints with Mike.

If interested in coaching for other events during Cross Country, please contact the event coach directly. Most will start back closer to T&F season.

We need Relays Coaches!
If you are interested in coaching the new U9 boys or girls relay teams, please contact Mike Donato at coach@klac23.org.au.

Can you help!
Do you have experience or an interest in website development? Yes? Join our team!

The centre website runs on WordPress – an easy-to-learn platform that has heaps of support materials available online.

What do you need to do:

• Post information about events and activities (like this post!).
• Update our calendar with event information.
• Update our contact information as new committee members join.
• Provide back-up support for our club websites (most also on WordPress).
• Keep our website online! Install backups, contact our host if any problems etc.

This is a volunteer position, and may be a good opportunity for a senior high school or university student to get some website management experience.

This week’s Cross Country will be held at Jells Park North and as it’s PINK DAY!

WEAR PINK
We would like as many Athlete’s and Parents to come wearing something PINK and make a small gold coin donation to raise awareness for Breast Cancer.

CAKE STALL
We would also be most grateful if you could bring some goodies like a donuts, lamingtons, cakes etc with a hint of PINK that can be offered through the canteen for a small donation.

Let’s paint Jells PINK on Saturday.

There may even be a special prize for the Best Dressed!

LAVic are seeking feedback on what aspects of our current Centre, Region and State programs you enjoy and where they can improve.

They are interested to hear from members who have joined this season and from those of you who have returned from previous seasons.

When answering questions please focus on one athlete only.

Your responses will be kept private and formulated into a document for production, distribution and review in mid 2017.

The survey closes at midnight on Friday 12th May, 2017 and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
