
If you are heading to the Commonwealth Bank State Track and Field Championship this weekend there is some important information that you will need. All families attending the state champs have been emailed by the Team Manager with all the latest information as well. Duty Roster
The duty roster has been finalised and can be downloaded below.
Please Note: With a number of families not attending and scratching due to Covid there may be late minute changes to the duty roster or you maybe asked to be on duty for an extra half hour or so on the weekend.
- Please check in with the Team Manager at least 10mins prior to your scheduled duty time.
- Parent duty at State Championships is compulsory.
- Parents must complete their duty at the allotted time. There will be little chance of making changes.Any complete duty swapping must be done amongst yourselves. Please advise the Team Manager ASAP of any changes to duty.
- Knox LAC does enforce the policy that any family that does not turn up for duty, or complete their duty, their child will be withdrawn from their events at State Championships and/or not qualifying for Knox Championship Day.
If for any reason your athlete will not be participating in State Championships – please notify Janine Kearsley (Team Manager) immediately at registrar@klac23.org.au

Please read the athlete information booklet. It has the relevant information regarding events for the weekend.
Things to note:
- Aughtie Drive has been detoured through the carpark attached to Lakeside Stadium, thus reducing the number of cars that can park in this area. Please allow extra time to find a carpark over the weekend.
- All athletes must check in with the Team Manager before competing
- All logos on black shorts bigger than a 50c piece need to be covered up with black tape. Please do this before arriving at the track
- Coles patches must be sewn on above the LaVic logo on the Knox top. We will have needle and thread for those that have it in the wrong spot, or not sewn on at all.
- Commonwealth Bank name patches must be worn. Please remember to bring this. We will not be able to print a new on on the day.
- You must let the Team Manager know if you intend to scratch from an event.
- The Team Manager is aware of clashes. Please check with the Team Manager as to which event you need to marshal at first, as the rules have changed this year depending on the clash.
- Track Call room will be located near the start line of the 100m. Please be at the call room 25mins prior to your event start time
- Field events have 4 different marshal points. Athletes will be called to assemble at one of the marshalling points. Please be at the marshal area 20mins prior to the event start time.
- Marshal point 1 – Long jump, High Jump and Discus 1 – 1500m start line
- Marshal point 2 – Discus 2, outside warm up track near cage
- Marshal point 3 – Javelin and Triple Jump – 200m start line
- Marshal point 4 – Shot Put 1 and 2, at warm up ring, outside near gate 1
- Please check the attached UPDATED timetable. Some event times have been changed by over half an hour. It is your responsibility to check when your child events are on with the latest time table.
- Enclosed shoes must be worn when doing duty. No thongs please.
- Please make sure you have a mask, as you may be required to wear it at any stage, especially if doing duty.
- The Knox table will be set up at the top of the grandstand approximately midway along the the front straight.
Covid Protocols
Covid Protocols will be in place for both days including that all attendees aged 8 years and older, are required to carry a face mask and wear it when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Please ensure you bring along your face mask.
If you have any COVID symptoms, have been deemed a close contact and are required to isolate, please DO NOT ATTEND THE STATE COMBINED EVENT. The health and safety of our athletes as well as our volunteers is paramount.
Venue Access and Entry
Entry to the venue is free all weekend, without any capacity limits.
Both Gate 1 & 2, will open at 7.00am both days.
The Grand Prix set up has commenced and there are significant changes.
Lakeside Drive is closed from Friday night 11th March, seek alternative route.
