Reminder that this Saturday is Regional Cross Country at Jells Park South.

There is NO normal Knox LAC cross country competition this week. If you haven’t registered to compete at Region Cross Country you can sleep in and you have the weekend off.

If you have not registered please do not turn up tomorrow. You will not be permitted to start.

For those that have registered, you will have been emailed the duty roster and the start times for the races from the team manager. If you have not seen the duty roster please check your emails and contact Karyn ASAP @ karynlegrove@gmail.com if needed.

If for any reason that your athlete is not able to compete tomorrow please contact Karyn asap.

Parent Duty is compulsory. 
Please check the duty roster and report to the team manager at the Knox tents no later than 15 minutes prior to the rostered start time. Failure to attend duty may result in athletes being withdrawn from events.

Please Note: LAVic have asked centres to reminder patrons that Dogs are NOT permitted within the cross country site. Dogs are not permitted at any Little Athletics Victoria event, you will be asked to leave if they arrive with a dog.

Updated Duty Roster for Knox Cross Country Open Day.Please note that the 2 duty slots are 9am to 10.30am and 10.30 am to 12.15pm.

Ensure that you sign in with the duty manager 15 minutes before your duty time begins.

Please note: for Knox Families, if you have registered for Open Day after WEDNESDAY 15 JUNE you are still be required to undertake duty. You must see the duty manager on Saturday before 8.45am and you will be assigned a duty.

Race order for the day

U7, U9, U11, U13-16B, U6, U13-16G, U12, U10, U8

First event starts at 9am. Following races will start directly after the previous race. We do not publish start time for each race. Please ensure you have arrived early. Races will not be held up for athletes that arrive late.

Late Entries will be accepted online up until 11:59 PM on Friday 17 June 2022. The Late entry fee is $15 per athlete (also includes SportsTG processing fee).

Please do not turn up on the day expecting to run if you haven’t registered for the event prior to Saturday. You will not be permitted run.

We will be running the EMR Region cross country course. Great practice run for those planning to enter EMR region cross country on the 16 July 2022.

Registration
Open to athletes registered with Little Athletics Victoria — Knox and other centres.
One (1) event per athlete.
Athletes may enter up one Age Group to make a team – Please plan for this before entering as no changes will be accepted to age groups after entry.
Spikes are not permitted.

• Online Entries close at 11:59 PM on Wednesday 15 June 2022
  $10 per athlete (includes SportsTG processing fee).
  Late Entries will be accepted online up until 11:59 PM on Friday 17 June 2022

Canteen, BBQ and coffee van will be available throughout the morning.

Uniforms
Athletes must wear their centre or club uniforms. Please do not wear anniversary tops or other sports top, training tops or jackets/jumpers. A uniform check will be done when athletes marshal. Athletes not wearing correct tops will not be permitted to start.

Name Patches must be worn and visible. All name patches must have Commonwealth Bank on them. Anyone in a Subway branded patch or Jetstar on their top will not be permitted to compete.

Duty Requirements
Parent Duty is compulsory. For Knox, Sherbrooke and Waverley Families – duty is compulsory. There is no online volunteer signup for this event. Families will be assigned duty. The duty roster will be posted closer to the event date. Please check the duty roster when it is posted and report in to the duty manager no later than 15 minutes prior to the rostered start time. Failure to attend duty may result in athletes being withdrawn from events.
