Call for chiefs, mentors and starters for next season

With only a few weeks of Track and Field comp to go, it’s a good time to start organising chiefs, mentors and starters for next season.

New chiefs are provided training and, where possible, a mentor. If you are a chief and will be finishing at the end of this season, please consider becoming a mentor for new chiefs.

We are also looking for people to train as starters for next season. With a number of our current starters finishing up, we need at least 4 volunteers so the starters are not on duty every week. Starters attend a one-day course that is paid for by the centre. Courses run in September, October and November. See the LAVic website for more info on the course.

If you are interested in becoming a chief, a starter or a mentor for the next generation of volunteers, please see your club’s team manager or contact the secretary at secretary@klac23.org.au.

EMR Track and Field Champs – Parent Duty

All parent duties for the EMR Track and Field Championship weekend have been allocated, and our Duty Manager has sent notifications to each club for distribution. Some duty periods may seem long but time is allocated for breaks.

Please remember
No Duty, No Compete.
This is an EMR rule.

If you cannot do your allocated duty, please organise someone to do it on your behalf or arrange with another parent to swap duty allocations. If you have arranged a swap, or someone else will be doing your duty, please advise Nancy at duty@klac23.org.au by no later than Thursday 20 February.

Our Team Manager role for the weekend will be covered by Stephen Hough, Grant Bertram and Steve Lillie on a rotation basis.

Good luck to all of our athletes competing.
