Knox Little Athletics Centre Inc.

On the weekend, a few of our U12-U15 athletes enjoyed two days of track and field coaching along with adventure activities : high rope course, flying fox, canoeing, orienteering and swimming.

If you are keen to learn the very basics of events at Little Athletics, please join us on Monday’s between 5:00 – 6:00pm.

Tomorrow (16Nov) we are focusing on High Jump and Discus. We will have our very own expert High Jump coach, Alan Luey giving us some tips on High Jump.

Whar events are we focusing and when?

• 16 Nov – High Jump and Discus Basics
• 23 Nov – Long Jump and Sprint Basics
• 30 Nov – Walks and Mini Javelins
• 7 Dec – Triple Jump and Throws
• 14 Dec – Triple Jump and Challenges

Where: Knox Athletics Track, meet at back straight.

What to bring: Drink, runners, hat, sunscreen.

When: Saturday 21 November. Program runs from 8:30am to around 5:30pm.
Check with your coach for arrival time.

Participation: If you are NOT available for competition on Saturday, please advise your coach ASAP, so your team doesn’t miss out on an event.

Program: Here is the updated timetable. Team Managers / Coaches will advise athletes which events they are in.

Uniform: Athletes must wear their Knox uniform with the ORANGE Jetstar patch sewn on. If you don’t have an orange patch or a Knox top, please see your Coach ASAP. Athletes must wear black shorts meeting ‘LAVic Regulations’ (no pockets, no branding larger than 30mm x 30mm, skins under shorts, appropriate length). Duty: Here is the updated Duty Roster. Please check-in with Mirella 10mins before your duty starts. If you CANNOT do duty, please arrange for another person to cover your allocated duty.

Chiefs: Please wear a hat and bring your own drink bottle. Water will be brought around on the day.

Cover up when not competing and always wear sunscreen.

On Saturday 7 November, $180.80 was raised in donations for the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. The Knox Little Athletics Centre will match the donations received, resulting in a total donation of $361.60. Thank you to all those who donated money last week.
