Coaching the basics of running, jumping and throwing

img_0506Our philosophy for our athletes: Through active involvement in games, we give the young athletes (ages 6-10) an opportunity to practice and explore the basics/fundamental movement skills (related to the events) in a positive and motivational manner.

For example, landing in Long Jump, arm technique with running etc.

When: Monday 5-6pm, resuming 1st February 2016
Who: Athletes aged 6-10 years with a smile
Where: Knox Athletics Track, meet at grandstand
What to bring: Drink, runners, hat, sunscreen

  • 1st Feb – Discus and Hurdles Basics
  • 8th Feb – Middle Distance Running and Triple Jump
  • 15th Feb – High Jump and Shot Put Basics
  • 22nd Feb – Long Jump and Sprint Basics
  • 29th Feb – Hurdles and Walks Basics
  • 7th Mar – Challenges
