Knox results from Box Hill Relays

IMG_4258
Knox Little Athletics Centre dominated at Box Hill Relays again this year, finishing on top of the medal tally for the second year in a row.

Knox teams won a total of 45 medals. 13 more than last year and 18 more than the previous year. Our strong results are due to the time and effort the coaches and athletes are dedicating to training, preparation and team selection.

Great Sportsmanship

Two of the U8 Knox girls Chloe Johnstone and Milan Keogh handed over their second medal of the day to two other girls in their team who missed out on getting a medal to ensure their whole U8 team finished with 1 medal each. This selfless behaviour from the girls is an example of putting the team before themselves. A fantastic display of team spirit by Chloe and Milan. We are all so proud of you and the team.

Congratulations and Thank You

To our Team Managers, Coaches, athletes and families who participated and supported Knox Little Athletics Centre in the lead up and on the day. It was a huge team effort. A special thank-you to Mike Donato, Stephen Hough and Shane Dickson for the co-ordination of coaches, teams and setting up 16 tents on Saturday afternoon to provide shade to our athletes and families on Sunday.

What’s next?

We’re all looking forward to the Eastern Metro Region Relay Championships on Saturday 21st November which promises to be another fantastic day!

Check out the photos on the website from Sunday.

Go Knox!
