Update To Covid Protocols To Apply For Start of Competition this Saturday

LAVic have released updated training and competition protocols in a memo to all Victorian Centres late yesterday. While most of the changes have been expected some key points will apply for the start of competition this weekend.

  • 500 patron limit is in place – Note this is being clarified by LAVic with Government.
  • NO SPECTATORS ARE PERMITTED. Please do not invite grandparents, or other friends for family to spectate. Parents/guardians are permitted to attend for child supervision.
  • Athletes MUST be registered (paid) or registered as a trial athlete to attend training and competition.
  • All attendees will be required to maintain physical distancing of at least 1.5 metres (those people with whom they ordinarily reside are excepted).
  • Attendees 12 years and older must: carry a face mask at all times; wear a mask while in an indoor space; and where a mask outdoors when physical distancing is not possible.
  • Participants must use hand sanitiser prior to commencement and completion of any sanctioned activity.
