Covid Update 20 July 2021- State Cross Country Championship Postponed

Following the announcement earlier today that the Victorian lockdown will be extended by another 7 days until midnight Tuesday 27th July, there will be no cross country this weekend and KLAC training activities remain suspended.

LAVic this evening has provided an update on the upcoming State Cross-Country Championship events.

  • State Cross Country Championships – Scheduled for Saturday 31st July at Lake Dewar, Myrniong, has been postponed.
  • State Cross Country Relay Championships – Scheduled for Saturday 14th August at Cruden Farm, Langwarrin, remains as scheduled.

LAVic will provide further advice on rescheduling the State Cross Country Championships once the details on the restrictions are made available next week through the Restricted Activities Directions (RAD’s), along with venue availability and changes required to the Tier 2 permit under the Public Events Framework. Updated details for the State Cross-Country Relays Championships will also be advised next week, based on the restrictions advised in the RAD’s.

LAVic will send correspondence to Athletes and Families confirming the above.

Once dates and details of the State events are confirmed, and we are advised of a return to community sport, the committee will be able to provide an updated calendar for the cross country season.
