LAVic yesterday advised centre of changes to the covid protocols effective for this Saturdays competition. LAVic sort advice from the Victorian Government and have since confirmed that where the space is only being used for community sport
So this is good new for our centre.
Other protocol requirements remain in place, such signing in with QR code and carrying a mask to wear if you cannot socially distance.
You can read the updated protocols here https://lavic.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/LAVic-Victoria-COVID-19-Protocols-v6.5tf-11.11.21.pdf
Saturdays Weather
Just a quick note about Saturdays possible weather. We will be watching and keeping a close eye on the weather for the morning. At this stage we do not intend on cancelling little aths, however will check the weather morning and advise via the website and facebook if we need to cancel.
If it is raining and you do sit in the grandstand with the other clubs and members, it is unlikely that you will be able to be socially distant. Everyone 12 and over will need to wear a mask if sitting in the grandstand and cannot be socially distant by at least 1.5m
Canteen
Canteen will also be open tomorrow from 9.ooam and the coffee van will also be in attendance.

This Remembrance Day marks the 103rd anniversary of the Armistice of 11 November 1918 that ended the First World War. At 11 am on 11 November 1918 the guns on the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare.
It also marks the 80th anniversary of the opening of the Australian War Memorial on Remembrance Day 1941.
Australian official war correspondent and historian Charles Bean conceived of the Memorial while witnessing the terrible human cost of the war on the Western Front. He determined that Australian soldiers and their actions should not be forgotten.
“Here is their spirit
in the heart of the land they loved;
and here we guard the record
which they themselves made.”
C.E.W. Bean
The Memorial continues to fulfil his vision as a shrine to the memory of all Australians who have served and died in war, a museum to house and display their relics, and an archive to preserve the record of their thoughts and deeds.
They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow;
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest We Forget
If you are new to Knox LAC or even if you have been at Knox for a few years, did you know we have dedicated photo page, where photos of our athletes competing are uploaded each week during the season.
You can find photos of the current season and past seasons including winter cross country at our dedicated photo page http://klac23.org.au/wordpress/?page_id=8003

We receive many compliments around the track and pleased to know that so many of you check out the photos. If there is a particular photo you would like in a higher resolution please email photos@klac23.org.au with the date and photo number.
About Our Photographers
Knox LAC Official Photographers have been authorised by the Knox LAC Executive Committee and all have completed a Working with Children check. All photographers use their own equipment, at no cost to the Knox Little Athletics Centre, and spend many hours after the events processing the photographs and making them available to the Knox website.
The centre ensures that photographers are rostered each week and photos taken depend on what events are actually being conducted at the time.
To ensure all events run smoothly and for safety reasons, only authorised Knox LAC photographers (wearing the green Knox LAC photographer’s tops) are permitted to take photos from inside the track and fence.
Parents / Guardians are welcome to take photos of their own children and must do so from outside the track perimeter fence.

If you are wanting to compete this Saturday you must be registered by Midnight tonight.
This will provide us time to print patches and have them ready for collection from your club on Saturday. We will not have the capacity to print patches on the day.
If you are a returning member you can renew your registration here https://memberdesq.sportstg.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=login&OrgID=1370
