The Knox Relay For Life is back again in 2014 and will be held on Saturday March 29th (starting at 4pm) and Sunday 30th (concluding at 10am) at the Knox Athletic Track, Bunjil Way, Knoxfield.
The Knox Relay For Life is a great opportunity for the local community to come together for an event to raise money for the Cancer Council of Victoria (CCV) and also remember those lost to cancer, celebrate with those who have beaten cancer and support those undergoing treatment.
This weekends weather and it’s affect on the program is being actively discussed by the exec and the centre’s community.
The exec will continue to monitor temperatures up to and during the day, and make a call on the day as to further modification and/or continuation of the program.
If necessary, more information will be provided as we get closer to the day.
Feb 8th: Open Twilight (no Mini Olympics on this competition day).
Feb15th: U6s – High Jump Exploration for U6s as a prelude for next season.
March 1st 10-11am: Clinic run by John McCall, Little Athletics Victoria – On Track Co-ordinator. Highly recommended athletes come along to improve their skills whilst having lots of fun.
March 1st: U7s – Hurdles added to program to try prior to next season.
Also with the temperatures rising we strongly encourage our athletes to wear hats, sunscreen and drink lots of water.
Thanks
Nevenka, Ian, Katherine & Adam
