Duty Roster
The duty roster has been finalised and can be downloaded below.
Duty is compulsory for Parents of competing Knox LAC athletes. Parents must do duty for either the full morning or afternoon session. Failure to do so will result in athletes being removed from events. Please do not ask for an exemption as none will be granted.
Everyone will now be aware that LAVic has announced today that due to delays in track works at Casey, LAVic State Champs have been moved to Knox.
This does mean that the athletics track at Knox will be available for use up to Wednesday 6th March.
For those athletes that made it through to state champs, our normal training sessions on Mondays and Wednesday will continue after our Championship Day this Saturday through the 6th March.
The track will be closed from Thursday 7th March.
There will be no public or club access to the track from 7th March. This is to allow LAVic to start Bump In and setup for State Champs. The track will then be handed over for the redevelopment works from 12th March.
We do need to thank Knox Council for their quick support of LAVic to ensure that State Champs can go ahead with as little disruption as possible.
We will provide further information as it comes through and thank everyone for their understanding.
Updates have been made to the Knox LAC Championship Program and Timetable. Thankyou to everyone who provided feedback. There has been changes to some events, age groupings and event times.
Heats and Finals Heats/Finals: Athletes have been placed in straight finals for track events up to the maximum entries based on available lanes. Where possible we have combined age groups into events – Age groups in combined events will receive separate medals for placings in their own age group. Where there are more entries received a series of Timed Finals have been used to determine the overall placing of athletes. i.e., Heats and Finals will not be conducted. Athletes have been randomly placed in lanes. Athletes will not be able to choose lanes.
Marshalling All athletes MUST report directly to the event area 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the event. Track events take priority—if you have a clash between a track and a field event, report to the field event and advise the Chief.
