Knox LAC Executive is excited to invite our athletes to register for the Knox Championship Day, the final event of the 2025\u201326 season and a celebration of a fantastic year of track and field athletics at Knox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and we\u2019ll also be presenting our season awards during the breaks including:
\u2022 Best in Age
\u2022 PB Awards
\u2022 Other season trophies<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Championship Day will again be FREE for all qualifying athletes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time:<\/strong> First event 9:00 am | Approx finish 4:00 pm

Event Limits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 U6\u2013U11: up to 4 events
\u2022 U12\u2013U17: up to 5 events<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Reminders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 To be eligible to compete, please make sure all requirements are met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705 Athletes must have competed in the minimum number of meets for the season (50% of competitions from registration date)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705 Parents must have completed the minimum duty requirements (6 duties over the season)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udeab No late, postal or on-day entries<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udeab No changes once entries are accepted<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc55 Full club uniform must be worn<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2757 No patch = no competing + no medals<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do I qualify for Champs Day<\/strong> – If you met the qualification standards and were nominated, you have been accepted – Those who nominated and did not meet the qualification requirements have been notified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parent Duty \u2013 COMPULSORY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duty is compulsory for Parents of competing Knox LAC athletes.<\/strong> Parents must<\/strong> do duty for either the full morning or afternoon session. 
Failure to do so will result in athletes being removed from events<\/strong>.
Please do not ask for an exemption as none will be granted.<\/strong>
If you are unable to do duty – or arrange for someone to do it for you – for the full morning or afternoon session, please do not continue with your entry as we do not want to have to remove your child\/ren from events on the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conditions of Entry<\/strong>
Club uniform must be worn with Registration Patch.
No protests will be entered into.
Spikes (maximum 7mm conical or xmas tree) are permitted for U11 to U17.
Knox LAC reserves the right to cancel or postpone the entire event due to extreme weather conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heats and Finals<\/strong>
Heats\/Finals: Athletes will be placed in straight finals for track events up to the maximum entries as per the table below. Where there are more entries received a series of Timed Finals will be used to determine the overall placing of athletes. i.e., Heats and Finals will not be conducted.
Athletes will be randomly placed in finals in those events conducted as Timed Finals. The allocation of lanes for Timed Finals will also be random.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marshalling<\/strong>
All athletes MUST report directly to the event area 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the event. Track events take priority\u2014if you have a clash between a track and a field event, report to the field event and advise the Chief.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
