Gold \u2013 11, Silver \u2013 5, Bronze \u2013 3<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

The executive committee would like to congratulate Fran Attard and her race walking squad on another successful EMR championship last weekend.\u00a0 19 of the 117 Knox medals were won by race walkers coached by Fran.\u00a0 This includes 11 gold from 14 races whilst every age group was represented by a Knox athlete (except one) which is an outstanding achievement by Fran and the dedicated race walking squad she coaches.<\/p>\n

Fran has achieved these results by coaching the squad five times a week including four\u00a0 week nights and Sunday mornings.\u00a0 Fran has time off on Friday nights when she sits at home reviewing training times and prepares for weekend competition.\u00a0 Fran also attends Little Aths and Knox Seniors every week which keeps her busy most Saturdays.<\/p>\n

Alan Johnson, Knox Athletics Centre life member (1973) coached Fran as a young athlete also assists Fran by coaching the very popular Knox race walking squad was seen watching the kids at EMR at the weekend.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure Alan is also very proud of Fran and her squad.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Fran and the Knox race walkers!\u00a0 Keep up the great work, we\u2019re sure the training will be in full swing leading up to State.\u00a0 Good luck!<\/p>\n
