{"id":20327,"date":"2026-09-27T10:24:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-27T00:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/?p=20327"},"modified":"2026-09-27T17:41:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-27T07:41:09","slug":"2026-27-track-and-field-season-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/?p=20327","title":{"rendered":"2026\u201327 TRACK AND FIELD SEASON PROGRAMS &#8211; Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Knox Little Athletics is pleased to release our <strong>2026\u201327 Track &amp; Field Season Program<\/strong>, with <strong>Programs A, B and C<\/strong> again providing athletes with a broad mix of running, hurdles, race walking, jumps and throws throughout the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across the three programs, athletes will experience a variety of events suited to their age group, including sprints, middle-distance events, hurdles, race walks, long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, javelin and vortex. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-medium-font-size\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"984\" height=\"336\" src=\"https:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Season-26_27-Program-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20330\" srcset=\"http:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Season-26_27-Program-1.png 984w, http:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Season-26_27-Program-1-300x102.png 300w, http:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Season-26_27-Program-1-100x34.png 100w, http:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Season-26_27-Program-1-200x68.png 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 984px) 100vw, 984px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Important change to Program B<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the key changes for this season is the scheduling of the <strong>long hurdles for our U13\u2013U17 athletes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>Program B<\/strong> days:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>U15\u2013U17 300m Hurdles<\/strong> will commence at <strong>8:00 am<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>U13\u2013U14 200m Hurdles<\/strong> will commence following the 300m hurdles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These events take the early timeslot previously used for the older-age race walks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>U13\u2013U17 1500m Walk<\/strong> will now commence as part of the normal program from <strong>8:30 am<\/strong>. Program 26_27_V1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Athletes competing in the long hurdles will therefore need to <strong>arrive early and be ready to compete before 8:00 am<\/strong> on Program B weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Families are encouraged to <strong>check the program and competition schedule before each week<\/strong>, particularly on Program B weeks where some athletes will now be competing from 8:00 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information, including the <strong>season calendar and weekly program schedule<\/strong>, can be found on the <strong>Calendar page of the Knox Little Athletics website<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re looking forward to a fantastic <strong>2026\u201327 season at Knox Little Athletics<\/strong> and seeing everyone back on the track! \ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc9b<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Knox Little Athletics is pleased to release our 2026\u201327 Track &amp; Field Season Program, with Programs A, B and C again providing athletes with a broad mix of running, hurdles, race walking, jumps and throws throughout the season.
