With the Knox Cross Country season kicking off on 2nd May 2026<\/strong>, the State Cross-Country Relay Championships<\/strong> are fast approaching \u2014 and we\u2019re looking for athletes keen to represent Knox in this exciting team event! \ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc9b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc5f Event Overview<\/strong>
Teams of 3 athletes<\/strong> compete in a relay over a cross-country course, with shorter distances and transition zones \u2014 no baton, just teamwork and speed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc65 Age Groups:<\/strong> U9 \u2013 U17<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 U9 & U10: 3 x 1km
\u2022 U11 & U12: 3 x 1.5km
\u2022 U13 \u2013 U17: 3 x 2km<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u267f Multi-Class Distances<\/strong>
\u2022 U9\u2013U10: 3 x 1km
\u2022 U11\u2013U12: 3 x 1.5km
\u2022 U13\u2013U17: 3 x 1.5km<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc65 Team Composition<\/strong>
\u2022 3 athletes per team
\u2022 Same gender teams (except Multi-Class, which can be mixed)
\u2022 Athletes can only compete in one team<\/strong> and run one leg<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd04 Team Formation<\/strong>
Knox will prioritise forming Centre teams. If needed, Region teams<\/strong> may be created with athletes from other centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2b06\ufe0f Age Group Promotion<\/strong>
\u2022 Athletes (U9+) may be promoted up to 2 age groups<\/strong> (conditions apply)
\u2022 Multi-Class athletes have greater flexibility across age groups<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Events scheduled across all age groups from U9 through to U17<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commemorative event shirts will be available to purchase \u2014 a great way to celebrate being part of the Championships!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
