Cross Country Season Is Here! \ud83c\udfc3\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wait is over \u2014 Cross Country has arrived! \ud83c\udf89<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s time to hit the ground running and start building towards an exciting winter season. Cross country is a fantastic way for athletes to stay active during the cooler months, build endurance, and enjoy running in a fun and supportive team environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 Cross Country season kicks off on Saturday 2 May<\/strong>, with our first competition taking place at Knox Park<\/strong>. We\u2019re looking forward to welcoming all athletes back for the start of the winter season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you\u2019re returning after the summer Track & Field season or giving cross-country a go for the very first time, everyone is welcome. The season is a great opportunity for athletes of all abilities to challenge themselves, improve their fitness, and represent the club across a variety of courses throughout the winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Cross Country calendar is now available, with a number of venues scheduled throughout the season. We encourage all families to take a look and mark the dates in your diary so you don\u2019t miss out on any of the action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For athletes who participated in the summer Track & Field season, your registration already covers the cross-country season. If you are looking to register for cross-country only, the Little Athletics Victoria registration portal will be opening soon<\/strong>. Please keep an eye on our social media channels \u2014 we will advise everyone as soon as registrations open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As with the summer season, parent duty is compulsory<\/strong> during the cross-country season to help ensure our events run smoothly. Knox uses an online volunteer sign-up system<\/strong>, which allows families to select a duty that suits them. Further information and sign-up details will be provided prior to the start of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further information about venues, start times, and any additional event details will be shared as we get closer to each round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
