{"id":1551,"date":"2014-07-24T18:37:05","date_gmt":"2014-07-24T08:37:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/?p=1551"},"modified":"2014-07-24T18:37:05","modified_gmt":"2014-07-24T08:37:05","slug":"little-athletics-program-for-schools-laps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/?p=1551","title":{"rendered":"Little Athletics Program for Schools (LAPS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While the Commonwealth Games are held in Glasgow, the Knox Little Athletics Centre invites schools in the Knox region to participate in the Little Athletics Program for Schools &#8211; <em>LAPS<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The program involves an Athletics Development Officer (ADO) from Little Athletics Victoria and a representative from the Knox Little Athletes Centre visiting schools and conducting a modified athletics session.<\/p>\n<p>The program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides a fun packed athletics session for students in Prep to Grade 4.<\/li>\n<li>Activities\u00a0teach fundamental motor and athletics skills, that are age appropriate and caters for all ability levels.<\/li>\n<li>Sessions are 45 minutes each, and limited to 30 students (one class) per session, up to 6 sessions per day.<\/li>\n<li>Enables schools to create a direct link with the Knox Little Athletics Centre.<\/li>\n<li>On successful completion of the program and after a copy of the school&#8217;s newsletter advertising Little Athletics is sent to LAVic, a free CD resource is\u00a0supplied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you would like the LAPS to visit your school, please complete the <a href=\"http:\/\/klac23.org.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/LAPS_Jul2014.pdf\">booking form<\/a> and send it to <a href=\"mailto:office@lavic.com.au\" target=\"_blank\">office@lavic.com.au<\/a>.
