CC Open Day Wrap-up

Last Saturday, 330 athletes from more than 20 different centres converged on Nortons Park for the annual Knox Open Day.

Having had snow in the Dandenongs only a day or so earlier, we were praying to the weather God’s and hoping they would favour us with fine weather – and they did!

Some great competition was had across the day with Knox athletes featuring strongly in both the individual and teams medal ceremonies.
Checkout the results and photos.

The perpetual trophy was won by Yarra Ranges, holding off a determined Croydon team, and they have vowed to come back bigger and better next year to defend their title.

A little bit of housekeeping from the day – firstly, a pair of tortoise shell glasses were handed into lost property and the owner can contact David on 0418 542 337 to collect them. Secondly, for any athletes who did not collect their race certificates, these will be handed to your centre team manager next week at the State Championships. Thirdly, if you bought a ticket in our raffle, winning tickets are as below.

1st prize Alan Tudge Gift Hamper: Winning ticket C19 Keogh family

2nd prize Black & Decker Dust Buster: Winning ticket C29. If this is you, please call 0418 542 337 to claim your prize.

3rd prize Personalised head phones: Winning ticket C27 Justin Philpott

And, finally, we would like to send out a big thank you to the athletes, mums & dads and all of the Knox duty officials for contributing to what seemed to be a great event.

See you same time next year!
